Why Momentum Miami?
Momentum Miami was born out of a commitment to ensure all Miamians benefit from a rapidly-growing tech community. The national spotlight on Miami as a global technology hub, coupled with widening disparity within our community, make this a pivotal moment to invest in outcomes-driven systemic change.
This transformational initiative was born from the belief that tech has the potential to become one of the greatest accelerants of socioeconomic mobility and opportunity. Momentum Miami was established to convene those committed to investing in this community and connect them directly to the partner programs we support.
Why Tech Equity Miami?

Tech Equity Miami is a first of its kind funding consortium that aims to deploy $100 million in philanthropic funding over five years into initiatives that remove entry barriers into the tech industry and that will create opportunities for underrepresented groups, including youth and small businesses.
This transformational initiative was born from the belief that tech has the potential to become one of the greatest accelerants of socioeconomic mobility and opportunity generation. When we invest collaboratively, we create new pathways for social transformation.

Priority Areas
Momentum Miami was founded on the belief that access– to STEM education, digital training, and to the internet– are foundational to providing economic mobility and prosperity.
After hitting our goals in three areas of focus, we are doubling down in the space where we see the biggest gap: K-12 education. We are a data-driven organization, and the numbers tell us this is where Miami needs the most support. For that reason, we’ll be ramping up our work in this discipline, while continuing to collaborate with and support our partners across all of our pillars, because success is an ongoing mission.
